JP Poets Reading on Super Bowl Sunday A Success!
On Sunday, February 1st, the Forest Hills Educational Trust, in collaboration with Tapestry of Voices, held its yearly poetry reading with poets from Jamaica Plain. Despite the cold and, more importantly, despite the fact that Sunday was Super Bowl Sunday, people came out to see them read. Especially considering that the viewership of this year's game was a staggering 95.4 million (!) people. That's nearly one-third of the country! It's nice to know that there are still those who appreciate poetry. We were so tickled by this, we snapped a group picture to prove it!
